Transitions

Training last night was focused on making transitions and avoiding burnout/time management. What we found most shocking was the ample or sparse freetime each of us had. We discussed better ways to manage our free time, and I'm making effort to schedule those nourishing activities that keep me stress free!

Travels

I spent the last weekend in San Francisco, visiting Isaac Zones in the Bay Area, spending time in the city and leading a training on Working with Small Groups. The Bay Area is different from my own group, in that most of the Program Directors there work in conjunction with other organizations, while my PDs usually plan and promote events.

The idea of not having boundaries or restrictions on your program is undoubtedly challenging and scary for some. It's only when you realize the freedom of the situation and opportunity presented do we realize that now is the time to act on how we feel, and invent programs that are meaningful for us. If your heart is into it, than that's all you need. the rest will follow.
