Blogging
Blogging. How strange it is that blogging is now as ubiquitous as the internet itself. A year and a half ago I'd never even heard of blogging; now, it's everywhere. When I was first asked to write a Forest Foundation blog, I was terribly confused. I had no idea what a blog was. Now I've done it almost every day for a long time, and it's as routine to me as eating and sleeping. What's this mean? I'm not really sure.

Mailing
We're mailing for the Jewish Festival today, sending out all kinds of letters. Some days we just have to get down to the nitty gritty and do what needs to get done. I'm fine with that, sometimes blind work is good for the soul. For me, it seems very organic, like I'm doing what my body and mind intend for me to do. So I like it today; if I were doing it still tomorrow, however, it might be a different story.

New Mascot
We've got a mascot now at the International Headquarters. It's an orange cat that we're taking care of for the next couple of months and it's been meandering in and out of the office all day long. He seems to be pretty acclimated to our surroudings already though, just rolling in and out as he pleases. I just need him to sit down and read the Welcome Packet.

Jewish Film Festival
If you haven't checked out the website for the Jewish Film Festival already, make sure you do so. It's looking real good and in the next few days we should have a list of the films to be showing up. Both the foundation website and the film festival site are looking great.

The Return of Isaac Zones
Isaac Zones is back in Santa Barbara this week to drop knowledge like only he knows how. He'll be sitting in on several of our meetings and imparting his always valuable insight. It's always a pleasure to have Isaac here.

Jordan's Retreat
Jordan's in Big Bear right now on retreat with his Program Directors getting ready for the Winter Quarter. Next week all the students are back from vacation and will be getting back to work on their programs. First, however, they're refreshing and re-energizing with Jordan up in Big Bear. The day before they left Big Bear received six inches of new snow, so hopefully they're enjoying themselves.
